Amazon Keyspaces Pricing Calculator

Estimate Amazon Keyspaces costs for on-demand or provisioned capacity, single-Region or Multi-Region tables, storage, PITR, restores, TTL deletes, and Keyspaces Streams with regional AWS prices.

Frequently Asked Questions

Should I choose on-demand or provisioned Amazon Keyspaces capacity?
On-demand charges for actual RRUs and WRUs and fits variable or uncertain traffic. Provisioned capacity charges hourly for configured RCUs and WCUs and fits predictable traffic. When auto scaling is enabled, use average billable provisioned capacity instead of estimating it from request volume.
How does LOCAL_ONE change Amazon Keyspaces read pricing?
AWS meters each 4 KB read chunk as one RRU or RCU with LOCAL_QUORUM, and half an RRU or RCU with LOCAL_ONE. LOCAL_ONE may return an older value, so the lower metering cost is also a consistency tradeoff.
How are Multi-Region Keyspaces writes priced?
Amazon Keyspaces bills a write in every Region of the multi-Region keyspace. This calculator derives or accepts the logical write units once, then applies each selected Region’s own WRU or WCU-hour rate. It does not multiply the primary Region price. A keyspace can span up to five Regions, but this calculator models a primary and one replica, so estimate a third or later Region separately and add the totals.
What does the Amazon Keyspaces free tier include?
For the first three months after the first Keyspaces resource is created, one payer account can receive a monthly allowance of 30 million on-demand RRUs, 30 million on-demand WRUs, and 1 GB of storage. The calculator leaves this off unless you explicitly confirm eligibility.
Does the estimate include Database Savings Plans?
No. Amazon Keyspaces can be eligible for Database Savings Plans, but the applicable committed rate depends on your real plan. The calculator does not invent a discount percentage or add a synthetic Savings Plan price.

CloudBurn

Catch AWS cost mistakes before they ship.

Use the calculator for quick estimates, then use CloudBurn when you need a deterministic cost review workflow. Run scan against Terraform and CloudFormation before deploy, then run discover against live AWS to find the waste that is already burning.
