How does AWS Direct Connect charge for port hours?

AWS bills Direct Connect ports by the hour while the connection is provisioned. Dedicated and hosted connections use different hourly rate tables, and Japan has separate port-hour pricing for both models.

How is Direct Connect data transfer out billed?

Direct Connect data transfer out is billed per GB based on the source AWS pricing group and the geography bucket of the Direct Connect location. This calculator uses the same AWS geography buckets shown on the official pricing page.

What does SiteLink add to Direct Connect pricing?

SiteLink adds a fixed hourly charge for each VIF with SiteLink enabled plus directional per-GB transfer charges between Direct Connect geography buckets. These costs are optional and modeled separately here.
