What drives Amazon Kendra cost?

Kendra cost is driven by the edition, the number of indexes, the storage units and query units required per index, and any connector charges. This calculator derives the required extra units from your indexed documents, extracted text volume, and average daily queries.

How are GenAI Enterprise connectors billed?

Based on the current AWS Kendra pricing page, GenAI Enterprise connector pricing is a flat $30 per connected index per month. AWS also documents up to 500 sync hours per month per connected index for GenAI Enterprise. The public pricing page does not expose separate sync-hour or scanned-document charges for GenAI connector usage.

Why can Basic Developer show pricing unavailable?

Basic Developer has fixed included capacity and does not support extra storage or query units. If your workload exceeds the included documents, extracted text, or query capacity, the calculator fails closed instead of guessing an unsupported configuration.
