AWS Amplify Pricing Calculator

Estimate AWS Amplify Hosting build, storage, transfer, server-side rendering, and Amplify AWS WAF integration costs by Region.

Frequently Asked Questions

What does the AWS Amplify pricing calculator include?
It estimates Amplify Hosting build minutes, deployment artifact storage, data transfer out, SSR requests, SSR duration, and the optional per-application Amplify AWS WAF integration fee. Managed SSL certificates are included with Amplify Hosting and do not add a separate line item.
How do Standard, Large, and XLarge build instances differ?
AWS currently documents Standard as 4 vCPU and 8 GiB, Large as 8 vCPU and 16 GiB, and XLarge as 36 vCPU and 72 GiB. Each size has its own per-minute rate, so enter the actual monthly minutes used by each size. Some Price List descriptions still say 7 GB for Standard; the calculator preserves that source description but shows the current Amplify documentation specification.
How should I enter Amplify SSR duration?
Enter measured memory-weighted duration in GB-hours. AWS publishes the source rate in GB-seconds, so the calculator multiplies that rate by 3,600 to calculate the GB-hour rate. It does not assume a fixed memory allocation or derive duration from request count.
Does this calculator include AWS WAF usage charges?

It includes the per-application Amplify integration fee when you enter applications with an attached web ACL. AWS WAF web ACL, rule, and request charges are separate; estimate them with the AWS WAF pricing calculator.

Does the AWS Amplify free tier apply automatically?
No. Legacy service-specific allowances are disabled by default and should be enabled only after verifying account eligibility. General AWS credits are not converted into usage allowances.
How can I reduce Amplify build costs?
Avoid unnecessary branch builds, cache dependencies, keep artifacts small, and move to a larger build instance only when the shorter build time offsets its higher per-minute rate. Track actual minutes by build size instead of assuming every build uses the project default.
Which costs are excluded from the Amplify Hosting estimate?

The estimate excludes Cognito authentication, AppSync APIs, DynamoDB, Lambda, S3 backend storage, CloudWatch Logs, Route 53, and other backend resources. Use the CloudBurn calculators for Amazon Cognito, AWS AppSync, Amazon DynamoDB, AWS Lambda, Amazon S3, and Amazon Route 53. Taxes, AWS Support, negotiated pricing, and promotional credits are also excluded.

CloudBurn

Catch AWS cost mistakes before they ship.

Use the calculator for quick estimates, then use CloudBurn when you need a deterministic cost review workflow. Run scan against Terraform and CloudFormation before deploy, then run discover against live AWS to find the waste that is already burning.

Read the docs to learn how it works.
