Amazon Managed Grafana Pricing Calculator
Estimate Amazon Managed Grafana costs for active Admins and Viewers, API users, service accounts, minimum workspace licensing, and Enterprise Plugins.
Frequently Asked Questions
When does Amazon Managed Grafana bill an active user?
AWS bills an active user when that identity logs in or makes an API request during a monthly billing cycle. Licenses are counted per workspace, so the same identity active in three workspaces creates three license occurrences.
Does every Amazon Managed Grafana workspace require an Editor license?
Yes. AWS bills at least one Editor license per workspace each month, even when no user logs in. The calculator applies that minimum separately before multiplying by the workspace count.
How are Amazon Managed Grafana API users billed?
API keys associated with one API user count as one API-user license. If keys for that API user have different permissions, AWS charges the Admin rate.
How are Amazon Managed Grafana service accounts billed?
Service accounts are billed as users according to their permission level. Admin service accounts use the Admin rate, while Viewer service accounts use the Viewer rate.
Are Enterprise Plugins included in the Editor or Viewer price?
No. Enterprise Plugins are an additional per-active-user, per-workspace license for upgraded workspaces.
What costs are excluded from this Managed Grafana estimate?
The estimate excludes data-source charges such as CloudWatch requests, Managed Service for Prometheus ingestion and queries, OpenSearch, Timestream, network transfer, third-party infrastructure, taxes, support, and negotiated pricing.
