SNS Pricing Calculator - Standard & FIFO Topics

Standard Topics offer at-least-once delivery with nearly unlimited throughput. Messages may be delivered out of order or duplicated. FIFO Topics provide exactly-once processing with strict message ordering. FIFO topics are limited to 300 transactions per second (3,000 with batching) and have separate pricing for publish operations ($0.30/million) and subscription messages ($0.01/million).

SNS charges based on endpoint type. HTTP/HTTPS is $0.60/million after 100K free. Email/Email-JSON is $2.00 per 100K ($20/million) after 1K free. Mobile Push is $0.50/million after 1M free. Firehose is $0.19/million with no free tier. SQS and Lambda deliveries have no SNS charge. You only pay the target service. Each 64KB chunk counts as one delivery.

For Standard Topics, each 64KB chunk of published data is billed as 1 request. A 256KB message counts as 4 requests. For FIFO Topics, messages from 1KB to 256KB are billed as one message, plus $0.017/GB of payload data.

The SNS Free Tier is always free. It includes 1 million API requests, 1 million mobile push notifications, 1,000 email deliveries, and 100,000 HTTP/s deliveries per month. SQS and Lambda deliveries are free. You pay only for the target service. The free tier is calculated across all regions.

Attribute-based filtering is completely free. Payload-based filtering costs $0.09 per GB of scanned payload data. Both filtered and delivered messages count toward the scanned amount. Each message is billed for a minimum of 1KB.

Message archiving and replay charges $0.10 per GB for archive processing and $0.023 per GB-month for in-place storage. Any archived data is billed for a minimum of 1 day. Message replay is billed at standard FIFO API request and payload rates.
